The three types of attestation categories used by STIR/SHAKEN include:
Full Attestation (Full or A)
This is when the carrier originates the call, is able to verify an association with the number calling, and it has a pre-existing relationship with the number.
Partial Attestation (Partial or B)
The carrier knows the customer, but does not know the source of the number calling, and therefore, the call and/or text message might be spam.
Gateway Attestation (Gateway or C)
The carrier is unable to authenticate the call source and the call will be flagged and/or blocked as spam.
